Schools: I really want to become a dentist/ doctor but more a dentist
Johns Hopkins (This is the only school I really want to get into)
NYU CAS BA/DDS
Brown PLME or Bio major
University of the Pacific (Advantage Dental Program for Highschool students)
Rutgers BS/DMD Program
UC Berkeley
+My school only allows 10 applications so three are probably going to be safeties and 1 reach (Please recommend me some safety schools!)

If anyone (seniors or juniors) are also planning to apply to the combined dental program please please please let me know!! I feel like my grades and ECs are weak so I really want to build my ECs… if there’s anything you could suggest it will be really helpful!!
Thank you so much and good luck to all seniors!!

Are you a US citizen residing abroad or an international student? Any need for financial or merit aid?

John’s Hopkins is not the best school to maintain a high GPA for pre-med/pre-dental as it’s a grade deflator. Berkeley as well-it’s not recommended for a pre-med.

UOP and Rutgers look to be matches. Brown PLME is a reach, but that will be a reach for anyone despite high GPA/test scores.

UC Berkeley should be considered a Reach school and you will close to full pay as a OOS/International applicant at $65K/year. Since Medical/Dental school could be in your future, you want to keep Undergrad costs at a minimum along with UCB’s grade deflation.

NYU is pretty expensive as well and very stingy with financial/merit aid.

Consider Case Western and Rochester as well.
