I think Fastweb and other websites similar to that are a waste of time due to a myriad of people competing for the scholarships. Are there other more convenient and more successful ways to win scholarships?
I was thinking of going to my financial adviser at college and asking for scholarship opportunities. Do people do that? Thanks
The best merit scholarships come directly from the school itself.
Your title question does not at all match the body of your post so I am not really sure what info you seek.
And are you saying you are already attending college? Or selected one for fall?
Sounds like he’s an incoming college freshman and may not have the means to pay:

Hey everyone ! I am the youngest of 3 in my family. Both my sisters are in college currently but my parents are having issues paying it My dad also encouraged my sisters to stop going to college or just transfer to a cheaper college. If this is his attitude towards my sisters going to college; I can only imagine his attitude towards me going to the college I want will not be pretty. The college I want to go to is 20,000 a year which isn't much and I will also receive scholarships too. My family is currently financially strained though.

Most scholarship related websites are unreliable. It is better to rely on agreements orchestrated by actual school bodies to avoid disappointment or even fraud. Participate in competitive inter-school events that are concerned with your extracurricular skill. There are no short cuts
Most external scholarships are not renewable and are in small amount. Otherwise, they are extremely competitive. Check if you are eligible to any local ones or sponsored by employers.
