What were your top-choice schools before Princeton?

I only decided to apply to Princeton in late September. I was just about to send out my ED app to UPenn and then decided not to. Basically, I was intent on UPenn and Columbia for a while. So...what about you guys? =D

Stanford
Columbia

UPenn...until I went there ('nough said)
Yale

For a little while, i wanted to go to the University of Sydney, but apparently it's not very good.

Stanford...

lol..where is the university of sydney located?

Sydney........

(Australia, in case you aren't great with geography)

haha very funny. i do happen to know where sydneys located. ^^

Eh, to be honest, i was drawn to it by this photo of a weird looking tree on their website. Good way to pick a school, no?

Brown-> Yale (Told I had no shot by my crazy guidance counselor who recomended Princeton...)->Penn-> Visited Princeton <3

does your GC means that it is easier to get into princeton than yale?

i know, right after i visited the campus i fell in LOVE. its just gorgeous.

sailesh, yale does have a lower admit rate than princeton. like 8% vs. 10% if im not mistaken... but i don't think there's a real difference between the two. please clarify.

My guidance counselor meant I personally had a lower chance at Yale because of the characteristics of my profile.

MIT / CalTech / Olin were my top choices

And Princeton said:

"Thou shalt have no other colleges before me."

And abiste did listen and apply.

Amen.

Stanford
Columbia
UPENN

University of Virginia
College of William & Mary

Princeton since sophomore year, and nothing really before that..

Go Tigers!

Stanford and MIT were always on top of my list... In fact, I had my entire Stanford SCEA app ready and it was like in oct that i decided to switch to princeton... (no, its not the usn rankings that made me switch)
