i’m planing to study economics. though it s not my fist choice. but that doesn’t means that i don’t like economics, it’s just the least favorite. i wanted to study English but the scholarship i want to get makes it mandatory to study one of this four fields, engineering, economics, political science and finance and management. so i chose to study economics and take A.levels related to it. but i don’t know what job i will get with a degree in economics or what i will study in college and i also want to know will it help me in becoming a novelist. or should i talk creative writing/English literature as a minor.
There are lots of jobs that you can get with a degree in economics - it really depends on the skills you develop and what you’re interested in doing.
You don’t really need any particular major to become a novelist. What you need to do is develop good writing skills and then find interesting things to write about. Taking some classes in creative writing and English literature can definitely help, but make sure you are taking actual writing classes in addition to the literature courses.
