Will Collegeboard allow an exception or something?

LOL. Interesting. I sure hope so but knowing collegeboard, probably not…

the “not for profit” collegeboard will probably charge an extra fee of $40 for some paper masks to wear and personal hand sanitizer bottles during the test…remember guys they have our best interests in mind. lol.

^LOL (10charplox

I was wondering about this, too. Some schools around my district already closed.

lol I was wondering the same thing…wont happen though.

late testing?
or they wud arrange for testing at another center with available seats then move all your school’s tests there…
im sure they’ll cum up with something

Late testing is not going to work with some people. I think there’re 3 days for late tests (?), and people at my school are taking 6+ tests. Can’t fit in 3 days.

Yeah I was wondering this too.

students would simply test at other locations. The nature of AP tests is that it doesn’t really matter where it takes place, it just has to take place at a certain time. Therefore, students can be bussed to nearby schools to take it. I bet your school is not the only school in the entire area that is closed.

haha yea i’m sure they’d still be forced to take it. if schools are closed, that does suck tho, because you dont get those last weeks of review…

There are alternative make-up exams (besides just the typical three day make-up window) for folks in truly extenuating circumstances.

I don’t think they would allow students to test at other questions. The school is closed to limit the potential spread at that school; if I were a different hosting school, I wouldn’t want to take the chance of increasing the spread of the contagion.

Here is some info that was forwarded to me:

^I guess the question was what happens when tests conflict during that time period, because its only a 3 day window.

Our principal just announced AP test date changes due to school closing. College Board is working with schools that are closed.

College Board Signals Policy on AP Tests Disrupted by Flu

Officials at the College Board say they are ready to adjust testing schedules for the Advanced Placement tests in case local school officials decide to close their facilities because of the outbreak of H1N1, otherwise known as the Swine Flu.

…

For schools that postpone their tests, the College Board schedules a series of makeup exams for the third week of May, said Megan Dearing, a spokeswoman for the New York City-based nonprofit. If those makeup AP exams don’t go forward, even later makeup tests can be arranged through the local school,

Here is the information given by CollegeBoard about AP testing in the event of a school closing:
<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

My school is closing this week…they said its rescheduled

I have cancelled my 4+ tests. And the test center said it’s available for me to enter the last testing exams.but I found this on Collegeboard:the grades of last testing may be delayed up to a month (August release), and free-response booklets will not be available.
So I am eager to know the differences between last testing and regular testing.Would it necessary for me to enter the lasting tests on May 20-22.
P.S I was admitted by PSU and am now on the WL of U Michigan. And I should say if I choose PSU for the first college year,I am gonna transfer as sophomore. So do AP credits matter a lot to my transfer?

“Students and parents in impacted areas should speak with the school’s AP Coordinator to discuss if this virus, or related school closures, could impact your local AP Exam administration.”

Not easy when the school is closed due to swine flu.
