What would be the best place for me to live?

Hey, just got accepted to LSA... I live about 45 minutes to an hour away from Ann Arbor and would like to move there if possible. Problem is, I have a son and no income at the moment (starting a lawn service business right now). The main concern I would like to move to to Ann Arbor is to get active on campus cause I want to eventually get into Ross. (not to mention I would LOVE to get out of the downriver detroit area)

I've read about Northwood for family housing but I was wondering if any of you locals know of any apartments that would be a better fit? Me and his mom share custody so I'm not gonna have him all of the time.

I'm gonna make an appointment with an academic counselor soon so I'll ask them who to ask about this when I get the chance, but I'd like to figure this stuff out asap.

There are some pretty nice apartments by the Bush’s mall on S. Main and Ann Arbor-Saline (the apts themselves are on S. Main). It’s a very short walk to get to a bus stop which takes you to Downtown Ann Arbor, and it’s a very short walk from there to central. You’ll have a Bush’s right there, very close to Scio Church Rd. where there are a lot of houses which my be interested in a lawn service, 10-15 min walk from the football stadium. I’m not sure about the price but they are removed from downtown so they should be far less expensive from something similar nearer to campus.
