Gpa? Sat?..

I've seen as low as 3.4 and 1850, but why do you want to know that? Getting in with subpar stats shouldn't make anyone feel proud of him or herself. I'd feel embarassed if I couldn't stack up to the competition, and yet I still got in.

wow 3.4 and a 1850...thats a lot lower than i was expecting to here

But getting those low scores by no means guarantees acceptance. I would aim as high as possible, and even then there's no certainty.

If you have other stuff then on average being an african american is worth 225 points extra. Being an hispanic is worth 180 points (old SAT scale). If you are an athlete you have 190 points advantage.

This was published some time ago by some reasearchers who studied the admission patterns for several years. I am not sure it was just for Princeton or other top schools as well.

whiw many points would a person need for admission

how about an international? can one "get away" with sat's in the 1890-2000 range?

I doubt it, but then again if you are from a country that has never sent a student to Princeton or have done something fantatic with your life you have good shot.

Chances are, if you have to ask this type of question, youre unqualified, and you wont get in. Just the facts.

Haha, I agree as well. If youre qualified u know that youre qualified.

I know two of my black friends with 2240 and 2270 respectively: one was rejected from yale and the other was rejected by princeton and stanford. Although the one with the 2240 who was rejected by yale got into stanford and princeton while the 2270 black kid who was straight up rejected by stanford and princeton got into yale.

BTW, these two black kids have SAT scores that are in the top 50 out of 130,000 in their URM poll and yet they got rejected from the elites.

It's funny to think how clueless people are when think that just cause they know a URM with a 2100 who got into a good school, that it must be easy to get in with less than 2100 as a URM.

Alot of people who don't understand the admissions process always like to act like they do.

I second DiamondT. As a matter of fact, I'm the emperor of the clueless lot.

DiamondT, it's not ignorant at all to expect that URM's at various score levels will get in at higher rates than their white and asian peers. The numbers support this.
