Looking for SAT scores of URMS accepted to Princeton

Well, I'm black and I want to get to the crux of a big issue here on CC, how much does race play a factor in admittance to an elite college? I'm looking for URMS w/ there SAT score/ GPA and which schools they got accepted to and which they got denied from.

Thnx

Two friends of mine that are Hispanic got in one had a 1600 and the other had a round a 1520.

You mean on a 1600 scale?

Obviouslly 1600 scale. At a school like Princeton, IMO, being Hispanic, Black, Natice American is just one more thing to have, it wont exactly compensate for a lackluster SAT or a bad GPA. Princeton is the most selective school in the country.

im hispanic and got in with a 1500/2210

Yeah, but you probably had insane ECs and top GPA/class rank as well as stellar recs, right redsox? By the way, where did you apply from (like state or region)?

Wow... Robinson he got 1500 out of 1600. So I dont think he would need "insane" ecs to get into princeton. Considering URM status...
But then again I'm trying to gauge its importance so maybe its not important.

Lol.....
I have heard this about Yale, Harvard, and MIT..
Not saying your wrong, but I wouldnt make such a bold claim.

My bad, I should have put one of the most. I wouldn't exactly want to get flamed by some pretentious Harvard kid.

I think Juilliard has something like a 5% admittance rate.

Pretentious Harvard kid? Most people I know from Harvard are pretty alright.

Yeah, the most selective schools are probably the top conservatories.

...and 1500 is probably slightly above the average SAT score for a Princeton admit on a 1600 scale.

bump......... I'm really interested in this.

Fred,
If you were really interested in this you would go through last years results threads, look for people who were URM's, and see what their stats were. I actually did this last year for several schools and it didn't take that long. As a matter of fact, if you'd have done that rather than post threads on all these boards, you might actually have an answer right now. Sometimes it helps to just do the footwork yourself rather than rely others :)

Entomom shut up and mind ur own business!!

Gee Fred, you said you were interested so I told you how to find the answer. Let's see, so far on this thread you have three data points, while going through the Princeton 2006 decisions I have 15, and even more for H & Y. Anyway, carry on and Good Luck!

Wow, that was an incredibly rude post.

Wow, your face was an incredibly rude post.

And to reply to entomom:

You think I haven't done that already.. That I concede is an obvious source of data. :) But I'm also looking for people who were either too lazy to post stats, didn't join cc when people posted their stats, or are doing it for their friends. Though again I have to agree with your advice, I have found a long list, a small part of this being a Liberian w/ 2080 in Columbia, another black guy with 2200 in Princeton and some guy w/ 2380 who got into a slew of ivies. Also, interestingly enough I found a guy w/ 1550/1600 denied from HYPS and only accepted to Duke and Cornell. This is for those who are looking at this thread for casual info.

Oh snap! u pwned the noob!

Being an 'URM' is a double sword... lot's of african-americans get rejected with 2400...
When top colleges say 'URM', they mean a low income minority.
If you're a rich black kid aim for a 2200+.
