What would colleges like Harvard think of my SAT scores

@lookingforward Well I can definitely say my background is different from the typical college applicant, whether that will towards my favor I don’t know. I also realized that I am a URM, maybe that will work in my favor.

I think that the bottom line is that, because of the selectivity of their admissions, Harvard is a long shot for just about everyone who applies.

The vast majority of applicants are incredibly qualified. So it’s not about qualifications. It’s like buying a lottery ticket-- all the players have a chance of winning, but most will still not win.

So apply, but cast a wide net. Don’t assume you’ll be one of the lucky winners, but keep your fingers crossed.

The best of luck to you.

I also would like to apologize to this student for the behavior of some here. How people can feel justified in responding to sincerely asked questions by a student in that manner escapes me.
You will get a fair shake in the admissions process at Harvard. Your circumstances will definitely be taken into consideration, of this I have no doubt.
Best Wishes to you!

@bjkmom @Greatkid Thank you for the response. As long as I get to pursue my passions, It does not matter if it is Harvard.
