What would it mean if I were to major in architecture?

I am very interested in architecture, but I wanted to know what would it mean if I majored in architecture? What classes would I take? What woul I do? How hard is it? And are there any tips anyone could give. Thank you in advance

blank, there are two different undergraduate architecture degrees. The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is professional degree, generally taking 5 years. The B.Arch will start immediately in the first year of college. It is focused narrowly on architecture with limited opportunity to take courses in other disciplines. With a B.Arch you can eventually become a licensed architect.

The other route is the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in architecture or architectural studies. The BA/BS usually takes 4 years. In many cases you wouldn’t have to declare your major until the end of your sophomore year, so you have more flexibility and more opportunity to take courses outside of your major. In order to become a licensed architect you would need to get a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) which can add another 2.0 to 3.5 years.

So the first thing to do is to look at the different degrees and decide which is better for you.

Also, many architecture schools offer summer career exploration programs for people who would like to learn more about studying architecture.
