What would you be willing to do?

So to pass away the time, 3 days and counting, lets talk about the extreme measures we would go to to get in. Assume that you would not get in if you didn't do this crazy thing. Ill go first.

I would be willing to give up my car.
such a small concession. really, i could do better.

I'd be willing to quit drinking bubble tea!

i will walk to new york lol.

aw c'mon, you wouldn't be able to drive there anyways...

What wouldn't I be willing to do??? I wouldn't do anything that would hurt other people, anything like physically, seriously torturing myself (not that this waiting isn't torture or not getting in wouldn't be torture), or anything that would preclude me actually attending, ie. dying.

List is not all-inclusive. Don't want to end up doing something too foolish just because I can't think of other things I wouldn't do right now. Haha.

omg ru serious how can u stop drinking bubble tea, its the greatest stuff in the world.

id be willing to give up some of my mathematical ability to get in, altho id really regret it

actually i will marry my multivariable teacher. wow that's a big sacrifice lol

I wudnt give up my math for the world lol if getting in college means giving up something I love.. I'd rather not go there. (plus doesnt columbia look for people with a passion? not people wiling for give up their passion?)

(and yes I just said I love math ...I do I do I do, but my friends get on my case for it... alot)

I agree with lynda. I am what I am -- and no college will change the definition of myself!

haha, i plan on doing operations research in SEAS which is heavy on calc. altho i love math, itd be the ultimate sacrfiice (for me anyways) for columbia - somewhat ironic.. giving up some skill in the area u want to become really good at by attending. >.<

:) part of the reason I chose columbia ( and other ivies) is that they take your passion into account. they don't just look at your grades and say "omg a b avg student .. we don't want b avg students!"

if getting in columbia means changing myself then that pretty much killed one of the reason I chose the school in the first place.

I also agree. I would not give up my passions. I would be willing to give up "alot" , nothing to hurt anyone or myself(passions). I LOVE Columbia toooooo much. (I know it's just a school, but I do)

wow, imiracle, I don't know if I admire your courage or pity you for actually being willing to do that.

God knows I wouldn't become a lesbian for HER. Maybe for Kate Moss, definitely not for her, not even if it means Columbia...I think

well i'll divorce her immediately after getting accepted. i'll get a good check anyways lol

The point isn't to give up some part of yourself. This is meant to be a fun/funny post about what you would be willing to do. The marriage idea was a good example of this.
I would be definitely be willing to walk to NYC, especially since I live in DE!

anything but me
myself
and irene

awww...really?....u wuldnt give me up?

I'd watch Master of Disguise.

I would give up my virginity....

I'm actually not applying to Columbia, I just like pry

dot dot dot dot

I would be willing to not find out for another week, if it meant I was definitely in!
