What Would You Do?

"What would you do if your son was at home, crying all alone on the bedroom floor 'cuz he's hungry, and the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man with a little bit of money."

This is one of my favorite songs. City High - What Would You Do? It aws a song that I heard a few times on the radio growing up and on MTV, but then I just lost the song. I came across it a few days ago and fell in love with it again. (And this comes from a girl who has posters of The Clash on her door)

I consider this one of my favorite "childhood" (psh. I'm still a kid) songs. The other is Cheap Trick's I Want You To Want Me.

What's your childhood song?

This song was the **** back in the day. I used to love the song "sorry ms. Jackson", I have more but I can't think of them now.

Oh! I totally remember that song. It was the first song I heard by Outkast, and the only one since the double album

Those songs were up there, but I remember listening to No Scubs and Unpretty over and over

I was into everything 98 Degrees and NSync. We had neighborhood karaoke parties... and yeah... thank goodness it was never filmed.

Pity overwhelms me.

"Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis. I have a very clear memory of singing it to myself (making up the lyrics where I wasn't sure) while playing outside my grandmother's summer house at seven or eight years old. My dad's mix tapes were always my greatest influence, much more than what was on the radio. I still think it's a great song.

I've more or less had the same taste in music since I was born--my dad used to play Elvis Costello's "God's Comic" as a lullaby when I was a baby. It's still one of my favorite songs. :)

That song by City High was one of my favorites as a child.

I was also obsessed with that song that went, "Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play..."
