So lets say there's this other kid who you've never gotten along with. The first time you guys met, bad first impressions were exchanged. This person constantly tries to implicitly insult your intelligence although his GPA and test scores are noticeably lower. The worst part about this case is that this person has many mutual friends with you so you're always seeing him. What would you do?

Laugh at him when he gets into a subpar college.

A better question is: Why do you care? Just ignore him.

^My thoughts exactly.

It’s not about besting your enemies or being the one that’s “right”. Sometimes you just need to swallow your pride and hold yourself back. What’s that kid to you in the first place? Don’t let him get to you. He got nothin’ on you anyway.

He’s always around me because we hang out with the same people. It’s kind of hard to ignore him when he always tries to insult me. I just have the urge to reply with some harsh words but I know that will exacerbate everything.

If he starts saying anything aggressive, go out of your way to ignore him. He’ll lose the satisfaction, or if he wasn’t trying to be mean, he’ll wonder what he was doing wrong and most likely stop.
