What year(s) of College would consider the hardest?

As an engineering major what were/was the hardest year(s) of college for you and why?

And what was your discipline?

I was an applied math and mechanical engineering major (applied math, along with statistics, were lumped into the school of engineering at my school). Junior year was by far the hardest for me because I was starting to feel the pressure of getting ready for life after graduation. I had decided I wanted to go to grad school so I devoted most of my free time to research. To make matters worse, the curricula for both of my majors crammed several difficult courses (analysis, control systems etc.) into junior year.
