my counselor rec shouldn’t be too bad, my teacher rec should be pretty good, and my essays are turning out a lot better than I thought they would be. What do you think?

Virginiuh:
Many on this forum spent time providing you “chance me” feedback only 10 weeks ago. What is new and different in your profile, and how you feel that would change the feedback provided earlier?

You have an application that is definitely in the running for applying.
No one here will be able to tell you whether you’ll be accepted or not. If you look at the BC decision threads from recent years you’ll see applicants with profiles stronger than yours who got rejected or waitlisted, and many with profiles weaker than yours who got accepted.

I believe the most valuable “chance me” feedback is when it helps the applicant see ways to improve their application. There isn’t a lot you can do at this point for things like GPA, ECs, or SAT scores.

Do the best you can to convey your involvement and participation in all the ECs you list. Were you just a warm body who showed up every week, or did you “make a difference”? How did you make a difference? Will your letters of recommendation also portray that type of person?

Thank you for the feedback. My only problem with extracurriculars is that they won’t all fit. I tried putting many of them together in one line, but I was still lacking space. I decided to just include a one-page resume with my application in additional writing. Do you think this is a smart choice?

Dear Viginiuh : The advice from jpm50 echoes the words that I have often written here on the forum. Turn your listing of activities into an equally impressive listing of impacts on your community, school, and social network and you will have taken the next step towards upgrading your profile for an admissions counselor.

^ so concentrate on volunteer experience and just a few extracurriculars than the whole gamut of ECs? Also, I have well over 200 hours of community service, where do i list that?
