What's a good college for me?

I currently go to high school in Iowa, and I have begun to look at colleges. I want to go into Early Childhood Education and possibly take a couple of special education classes. I Don't really care where the school is, but probably close to where I am now. I don't really care how big or small the school is. I have some schools in mind such as Concordia University in Seward, NE, UNL in Lincoln, and Northwest Missouri State in Maryville.

Those are probably good choices. Ask your GC and teachers where local ECE majors attend. Going to a local school should also make it easier to be certified locally.

I would recommend Truman State University in MO. Truman State’s program is very unique…

Instead of receiving an undergraduate degree in education, you need to major in one of their regular majors such as English, Biology, whatever. You would receive a BS/BA degree in this field.

Concurrently (I think Senior year) ,while taking undergrad courses, you will start to take graduate level courses for your teacher certification. In the end, you receive 2 degrees, one in your chosen major and the 2nd being an MA in Education.

Truman is very inexpensive and an outstanding school.

Judging by your comments, I would guess that you live in western Iowa. Truman is still pretty close.
