What's After Calculus for Engineering?

I already passed AP Calc BC with a 5 so Math 100/200 requirements are waived. First year com sci students normally take math, intro to engineering, and comsci 150. So what do Brown students in com sci/engineering take for the math course in lieu of Calculus?

I think Math 350 is next in line. Although i’m not sure. Rising freshman here

Really? I thought it was going to be discrete probability or linear algebra or something. This is some kind of multivariable calculus. I wonder what other com sci folks are doing.

CS and CE are in different departments at Brown. CS doesn’t require engineering class.Or are you looking at CE? They have different requirements (but the CS dept helps with CE), see online, the dept will list it and then you will have to cross reference the number with the descriptions in the course catalogue.

My daughter also took AP BC with a 5 so took multivariate next (they don’t include that in BC, am I right?) Don’t know class number. For CS you also have to take Linear Alg. And discrete structures and probability
