What's all the buzz about the May CR?

I heard something about one of the passages being "subliminal", and I know what the word means, but can someone clarify on how the passages were? Was the CR easy, as in it will have a -3=800 score?

HAHA - Rahoul, I hope to god that -3 would equal an 800, has that EVER happened!? DAng.

Yes, I've seen -4=800, I think it was October 2007.

Nope, on Oct. 07 a -4 is 770.. you have to factor in the extra point taken off for every 4 questions wrong...

^ Dude, I got -4 and 2 omit and got a 690 on March... so, um, I don't know. :/

Btw, we weren't referring to the passage itself as 'subliminal'... the passage was ABOUT the 'sublime'...

The Oct. 07's curve was much more generous than march's... I know I got a 690 on March too... I think every test has slightly different curves though..

I've also noticed that CR curve is almost always more lenient than the Math one.
Math is too darned harsh.

Yeah....but Jan 08's curve was really nice lol.. For math you could have gotten 5 wrong and still have had a score of 700... I think that is pretty much as good as it gets.. generally 5 wrong and its down to 690/680..

I dodged March, as in I signed up for it and delayed it to June at the last second, and it turned out to have the harshest curve I've ever seen for Math and CR. I chose June over May because the extra month meant more words to memorize, but I still feel that I should have taken it. Oh well, I have an extra month, but that means one more month of waiting for what could be a 52" Samsung LCD TV(if I get 1400) had I taken it in May lol.

Well, the March test had a somewhat nice math curve.. the CR curve was ridiculous though...

True, math is usually pretty harsh. What do you think the CR will be this time? -4 = 770 still? That wouldn't be TOO bad. I'd still break a 700 w/ 10 wrong then? LOL. That'd be insanely nice.

^ LOL, we're in the same boat.

Hey guys....quick question..

The very first writing question....was it a semicolon or a comma???
Thankx
