<p>i've heard SO much about urbana-champaign, but i know NOTHING about it. what are some of its distinguishing features? what makes it such an awesome school?</p>
<p>it's got one of the top departments in the country for quite a lot of things, like computer science, a lot of engineering programs, business, chemistry, and so on and so forth.. and it's big, cheap compared to private university and has some good sports programs. </p>
<p>that's UIUC 101, i guess</p>
<p>Top programs in engineering, computer science, business, chemistry, physics, etc.
Large frat and party scene.
Good sports programs.</p>
<p>2-9 football team is not a "good" record.</p>
<p>15-1 in basketball is.</p>
