Hi,
I’m an incoming freshman at CMC and I could not be more excited to start my college career at such an amazing institution. Just out of curiosity and to get a sneak preview of what to expect, can any CMC students describe to me briefly what your daily schedule at CMC looks like?
Thank you so much!
Typical weekday:
9am: Wake up and hit the gym
10:30am: Get ready for the day. Eat an energy bar/drink protein shake on my way to class
11am: First class
12:15pm: Class ends and I’m on my way to either Collins or Frary (preferably Frary if I’m eating alone or if it’s just personal pizza Monday)
1pm: Shift at the research institute that I work for
2pm: Stay at the research institute and work on homework before my next class
2:45pm: Second class
4pm: Class ends. Work on homework/any errands that I have for the day
6pm: Dinner (Big fan of Scripps)
6:30-Midnight: Homework
1am: Sleep
You’ll probably dedicate anywhere from 5-10 hours/week on ECs, assuming you’re not an athlete.
Weekends are pretty different. I usually just lock myself in the library/various study areas throughout the day. I rarely went out after 1st semester freshman year.
Thanks @Carotid ! I understand that Roberts Pavilion at CMC is currently under construction, so which gym do you use?
There’s a giant temporary weight room by Bauer and Pritzlaff field. It’s in a bubble dome and is just referred to as “the bubble.”
We also have access to pomonas gym and the Scripps pool (males only at certain hours).
My average day: 515 wake up, head to ROTC workout.
700 breakfast with rotc
830 first class
1100 lunch
200 work at one of three on campus jobs or second class
430 nap
530 dinner
7-930 homework
930 (dependent on night of week, homework, other responsibilities): go to dorm president meeting, student senate, host party, go to party, watch movies in friends room, sit outside and talk with friends etc
1100 snack
For what reason did you not go out much after the first semester? @Carotid
Partying lost a lot of its allure since it wasn’t so much about meeting new people anymore. I also wanted to focus on grades and do really well second semester.
