What's bad about weslyan?

I know most of the good things so I'd like to know the bad things. Thanks.

heard that the food kinda sucks

A lot depends on what you're expecting. "The Gatekeepers" makes a couple of references to Wesleyan's dignified old buildings. And there are some fine examples of "dwarf Gothic" Civil War era buildings at the center of campus. But, if you're expecting mile after mile of perfectly rendered Renaissance counterfeits or Christopher Wren knock offs, you'll be sorely disappointed. The old campus resembles what it was for most of its history: a flinty, somewhat stoic New England men's college; you can practically feel the splash of cold water against the face as the boys raced to get ready for Chapel. But, Wesleyan experienced an incredible growth spurt between 1950 and 1975 and a majority of the campus was built with every signature you could name from that era: the blonde wood and Howard Johnson balconies of the 1950s (Foss Hill); the space-age, George Jetson look of the sixties (Mocon) and, the Center For the Arts with its shimmering white, limestone walls and abstract shapes. At least you can say, there's a lot to choose from.

The food is okay, albeit overpriced.

The tap water in Middletown sucks, though. Last year my parents were in my room during parents weekend. My dad went to the bathroom and when he got back he was like "whoa, is there a pool in this dorm somewhere?"

"No, dad. That's just the tap water."
