Anyone want to explain in detail how the processes work?
What's the difference between the two?
How will EA/ED work to someone's advantage/disadvantage?

Thanks for the help.

how about reading the other countless threads about this first?

How about no because I don't want to go through a bunch of threads to gather bits and pieces of information that are probably repeated throughout the site.

How do you know that this thread won't end up being a a bunch of bits and pieces? The closest EA/ED deadline is months away. You have time.

Start here.

wiki knows everything
thanks

you know there is a Search function above

early action
early decision

don't waste our time w/ threads like that.

you are a n00b.

EA (early action) - you apply early. decision is non-binding. chances are the same as RD.
ED (early decision) - you apply early. decision is binding but chances of getting in are higher. you can only apply to one school ED legally. many schools are getting rid of EDs now though.
