<p>So for my communication class i have to give a persuasive speech that everyone would actually be interested in, so i was hoping to get some ideas from fellow undergrads. what would you like to hear about?</p>
<p>I love sports so whenever I hear a speech or presentation that has any relation to sports, I'm all ears. Anything that multiple students can relate to would be a good idea. Sounds like you have very few restrictions on your topic so try and find something that everyone likes (i.e. sports, movies, etc.)</p>
<p>Sorry, Devilsrule, but not everyone likes the same thing. Sure, I like sports, but to hear a persuasive speech about them? No thank you.</p>
<p>I would advise looking at your school newspaper or something and find an issue that your student body cares about, and create a speech about that. Otherwise, just about anything you are passionate about can be gripping even to people who aren't passionate about the same thing, so definitely write about something you care about personally, otherwise it just won't be persuasive.</p>

<p>OK, so what's the OP gonna do, try to persuade someone from the class to have sex with them?</p>
<p>First line of the speech: The following are reasons why you should have sex with me....</p>
<p>that's not where i was going with that...</p>
<p>but, hey, now that you mention it.. sounds like a joke, but it would be a pretty funny speech and i GUARANTEE that you'll have the entire class's attention. don't be crude, just be witty and smart about it! :)</p>
<p>Talk about something that is important <em>to you</em>. Talk about it in such a way that you can make it clear (without saying "This is important to me because ...") why it's important to you. If you can make your subject vivid, you can make it interesting to your audience.</p>
<p>^^ This is absolutely true. It really matters less that it's a subject you're audience is already interested in than it does that it's one you are passionate about. A professor of mine explains it as "the so-what factor." Choose a topic with relevance to you, a "so what" to you, and convey it well.</p>
