what's the free essay? isn't there just one novel essay, and the book has to fit the prompt?

i think the novel and free essay r the same. these are the three essays:
1 prose
1 poem
1 open novel question (the novel/free essay...all the same thing)

@dr/owned: those are 6 of the books im using...strange

I've got:

Hamlet
The Picture of Dorian Gray
A Prayer for Owen Meany
Macbeth
The Things They Carried
The Great Gatsby

Lear, Streetcar, Beloved, French Lt.'s Woman, Glass Menagerie, and maybe a few others

Books We Read This Year:

Life of Pi
Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress
Siddhartha
King Lear
Bone People
Notes from Underground

and I think I still remember Mama Day and The Great Gatsby from last year.

Othello
Walden(not really though)

and from lit:
For Whom the Bell Tolls

But I'm sure I can bs some other books too so I'm not to worried.

Great Gatsby

From Lit:
Native Son
Wuthering Heights
Equus
A Prayer for Owen Meany
The Stranger
No Exit
Grendel
A Portrait of The Artist as A Young Man
...we read a lot this year, but in Language we went more in depth.

I'm planning on pulling from other sources as well, personal reading, etc.; throw in a little known novel here and there, but Native Son and Equus were the books I used for my senior thesis (comparative paper on theme and meaning, required for AP Lit seniors) so I can do anything with those. As well as anything we read in Language. Our teacher was hardcore/crazy. I think I may do well on my lit test solely because of her. My Lit teacher = :(

The Scarlet Letter
The Great Gatsby
The Sun Also Rises
Wuthering Heights
1984
The Catcher in the Rye
Hamlet
Pride and Prejudice
The Age of Innocence

I have to sparknote half of these b/c i read them last year.
i think i will actually cry if none of these are on the list tomorrow.

From AP Lit:

Poisonwood Bible
Heart of Darkness
Great Gatsby
Death of a Salesman
A Doll's House
Ballad of the Sad Cafe
A River Runs Through It
Invisible Man
Dinner at Homesick Restaurant

streetcar

salesman

I can reasonably write an essay with the following: Othello, The Grapes of Wrath, Glass Menagerie, A Doll House, Hamlet, Crime and Punishment, 1984, and Huck.

The books I'm reviewing/feel comfortable with:

Ethan Frome

Pride and Prejudice
Persuasion
Catch-22
The Blind Assassin
