<p>Hamlet
Oedipus Rex
Huck Finn
Their Eyes Were Watching God
The Stranger
The Plague
No Exit
Heart of Darkness
The Sound and the Fury
The Death of Ivan Ilych</p>

<p>ummm our teacher is crazy about existentialism</p>

<p>Scarlet Letter
Crime and Punishment
Othello
Merchant of Venice
Their Eyes Were Watching God
Beloved</p>

<p>I'm using Scarlet Letter and/or TEWWG for the free essay.</p>

<p>I heard our AP teacher does mostly</p>

<p>Heart of Darkness
King Lear
Jane Eyre
Pride and Prejudice
Brave New World
Death of a Salesman
Poisonwood Bible
Othello
Crime and Punishment
Hamlet
More Poems and Short Stories.</p>

<p>what's the free essay? isn't there just one novel essay, and the book has to fit the prompt?</p>

<p>i think the novel and free essay r the same. these are the three essays:
1 prose
1 poem
1 open novel question (the novel/free essay...all the same thing)</p>

<p>@dr/owned: those are 6 of the books im using...strange</p>

<p>I've got:</p>

<p>Hamlet
The Picture of Dorian Gray
A Prayer for Owen Meany
Macbeth
The Things They Carried
The Great Gatsby</p>

<p>Lear, Streetcar, Beloved, French Lt.'s Woman, Glass Menagerie, and maybe a few others</p>

<p>Books We Read This Year:</p>

<p>Life of Pi
Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress
Siddhartha
King Lear
Bone People
Notes from Underground
Metamorphosis
The Stranger
Things Fall Apart

<p>and I think I still remember Mama Day and The Great Gatsby from last year.</p>

<p>From ap language I've got:
Gatsby
Scarlett Letter
Othello
Walden(not really though)</p>

<p>and from lit:
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Catcher in the Rye
Hamlet
Eyes were watching god</p>

<p>But I'm sure I can bs some other books too so I'm not to worried.</p>

<p>Great Gatsby
Scarlet Letter
Othello
Oedipus Rex
Native Son
Great Expectations
Wuthering Heights
The Awakening</p>

<p>From Language:
Scarlet Letter
Jane Eyre
Huck Finn
The Great Gatsby
Grapes of Wrath
The Time Machine</p>

<p>From Lit:
Native Son
Wuthering Heights
Equus
A Prayer for Owen Meany
The Stranger
No Exit
Grendel
A Portrait of The Artist as A Young Man
...we read a lot this year, but in Language we went more in depth.</p>

<p>I'm planning on pulling from other sources as well, personal reading, etc.; throw in a little known novel here and there, but Native Son and Equus were the books I used for my senior thesis (comparative paper on theme and meaning, required for AP Lit seniors) so I can do anything with those. As well as anything we read in Language. Our teacher was hardcore/crazy. I think I may do well on my lit test solely because of her. My Lit teacher = :(</p>

<p>The Scarlet Letter
The Great Gatsby
The Sun Also Rises
Wuthering Heights
1984
The Catcher in the Rye
Hamlet
Pride and Prejudice
The Age of Innocence</p>

<p>I have to sparknote half of these b/c i read them last year.
i think i will actually cry if none of these are on the list tomorrow.</p>

<p>From AP Lit:</p>

<p>Poisonwood Bible
Heart of Darkness
Great Gatsby
Death of a Salesman
A Doll's House
Ballad of the Sad Cafe
A River Runs Through It
Invisible Man
Dinner at Homesick Restaurant</p>

<p>streetcar
othello
gatsby
salesman</p>

<p>I can reasonably write an essay with the following: Othello, The Grapes of Wrath, Glass Menagerie, A Doll House, Hamlet, Crime and Punishment, 1984, and Huck.</p>

<p>The books I'm reviewing/feel comfortable with:</p>

<p>Ethan Frome

The Importance of Being Earnest
The Turn of the Screw
Pride and Prejudice
Persuasion
Catch-22
The Blind Assassin
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
All The King's Men
All the Pretty Horses
1984</p>

<p>Hamlet
1984
Wuthering Heights
