whats it feel like when u go back home and go straight do ur hw?

i never do that. is it a really nice thing to do?like i usually start hw at 9. yes ,it does suck. and now i wanna change it. ;-) i'll start my homework the second i get back home. guess it's so much better huh?
normally, students finish @ 3. so i guess ave. 6 hours homework.
which means

o m g

i can sleep at 9!!!!
this is usually the time i lie on the couch and eat layssss...
i'd really like to finish my homework before 10 so i can at least get 8 hours slepp suckaaaa,
now i only have 3..
or not.

my life is going to be awesome @o@

Woo!
I've been contemplating on that also.. Stupid addictive PC. But one day, I will change, and not a a grumpy sleepy student!

I immediately did my hw the minute I came home in freshman year...and wow life was never any easier. It's so much fun leisurely playing when you know nothing is on your shoulders.

Of course...no one is free from senioritis...muahahahah (well I wasn't at least -.-)

I know! I have been wanting to do that for so long now. I just feel like I've been working all day, so I should relax for a little.....and then a ltitle turns into like 4 hours. :/
If I started right away I could finish so much earilier.
AHHHH its so hard!
I seriously need to like lock my computer and TV so that I can't do it, and strap myself in a chair with my hw. Its not a problem once I start it....its just actually STARTING it that takes so long. I like DREAD starting my hw.

or....

you don't do it

this works for me

when i didn't have to work, i started my hw rite after school (even while waiting for my ride, yeah, dorky but time efficient). Do this and ur sleepy body will thank u for it but remember to always take breaks to unwind

I usually do that just to get it out of the way. It's so much easier to relax, watch TV, nap, or whatever when you know that you've done everything that's due the next day.

I don't really know how you should motivate yourself, though. I'm a checklist type of person, and I like to put those checks down as soon as possible. Which is why I do homework right when I get home.

All my homework stress will immediately evaporate the day I get my first multi-billion $ paycheck.

^lol

I was grounded and so instead of using eh PC or TV for procrastinattion guess what I did. I sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling for 2 hours and then i fell asleep for 6 and then started my h.w at 12. LOL

How can one possibly have 6 hours of homework a night? The only possible explanation is that you are being forced to read Proust's entire collection, nightly...

Honestly, I can't remember how it feels to come straight home and do homework. It's been forever since I've done that!

I did that in first grade. Maybe second grade too.

I only do that sometimes... mostly on days before I have big projects due and they aren't finished, such as today. xD

It takes a lot of the stress off to get everything done early. I only usually have 2-4 hours of homework a night (that's with two AP classes) and it's great to be able to sit down at seven and say everything's done.

... but it's not done now, so I feel like a bit of a hypocrite... time to go hit the books. XD

I take like a 1.5 hour break after coming home. Then start homework.

Yeah, I was wayyyy more studious in elementary school sadly. Now I just waste time like no other.

honestly i dont remembr what its like to have more than 10 minutes of homework....but it was only about 9 months ago that i had hours worth of homework oh and im sure in another 7 months i will have a lot of hwk to do

guess what grade im in lol

My routine is to drink a cup of tea and do my AP calculus/physics homework as soon as I get home from play rehearsals (4:00ish). I enjoy my calc/physics work, but it's difficult, so it's good to get it over with first. Then usually I try to finish my other homework (I don't have a whole lot this year... thankfully!) by 6:00ish, when my parents usually have a movie they want to watch. If I'm interested in watching the movie, then I watch it with them... whether or not I have homework left (unless it's really big homework, like an ongoing project or a paper or something). :p In most cases, if I don't finish my homework by bedtime, I just don't do it at all. I can do that without suffering in a couple of my classes. Like AP Stats, where sometimes the teacher gives us bonus points for turning homework in on time.

Last year was different, in that I could start homework at 3:00 and keep going full speed ahead until 9:00. :( It was my AP Language & Comp class... busywork... grrr.

Anniushka, it's wonderful that you have the time on weekdays to watch movies with your parents. I can't remember the last time my dad rented a movie from Blockbuster for us all to watch. (And even then, it's always been on weekends.)

My dad discovered Netflix. :D

i think an interesting new addition to this topic would be..What are everyones homework routines? As many of us have extremely busy schedules, it will be interesting to see how we all prioritize our time after school.
i know i myself could use all the inspiration i can get w/ relating to other peoples hectic schedules, and maybe we'll all figure out how to prioritize our time after school better.
Let's hear the routines!
