Pretty simple question...
I'm still undecided about where I'm going this fall so I just wanted to get some more info from people - stuff they don't really tell you in brochures or on the Internet. I'm also interested in anything you might want to add about the architecture department.

So, to get the ball rolling...
is it easy to find people like you and become close friends considering the undergrad population is so huge? Do people stay academically motivated despite the abundance of parties/things to do around LA? How big are the Gen Ed classes on average? I've seen the nickname 'University of Spoiled Children' floating around the Internet - is this true and to what extent?

Specifically about the arch department - what're the profs like? The students? How big are these classes, generally speaking?

Those are just some things that've popped up whilst I weigh up all my options. I've been to LA (a while ago) but haven't been to the USC campus itself so I'm just hoping to get a better feel of everything as a whole.

Thanks! All thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated :)
