<p>I am a junior in high school and have taken 3 honor classes and 1 AP class and have taken 3 years of a foreign language.
I plan to take 2 more AP classes my senior year.
My gpa is a 3.97
My SAT scores are not good: 590 math, 440 writing, 540 writing.
I am in student government and in the top 2% of my high school class.
Varsity Water Polo for 2 years, Varsity swimming 2 years, jv tennis 2 years, jv water polo 1 year got 4.0 5 out of 6 semesters.</p>

<p>Hopefully you are re-taking the test in the fall. In the meantime get a College Board blue book on the SAT review and start preparing. It sounds like you have done absolutely zero prep work. That 440 will hurt your chances. I am puzzled, because your uw GPA is flawless, even for a lighter course load, along with your top 2% school ranking? You may also want to get a tutor to work with you, if you can afford one. It sounds like you have good study habits. You will need them, if you want to improve this score enough to be competitive with other LMU applicants.</p>
