What's my chance that UC colleges will accept me?

Okay, so my cumulative GPA is a 4.2, however I scored really bad on my SAT. I got 1540. What's my chance that I'll get accepted to UCI and UCSD? I have a couple of EC like student government- treasurer, approximately 200 community service, CSF (4 years), and link crew (3 years). I'm not aiming high... Because I know I'll get in no where with my SAT scores. I'm fine with just a mediocre college. ANYBODY think I'll get accepted? Any hope?

*bump 10 char

*bummmmmmpppp

Is there any chance you can retake the SAT?
And are you passionate about anything?

Seriously retakethe SAT or try the ACT. I am sure you can improve your scores.

Do you live in California?

That could really decide admissions in your case

Yes, I live in California & the ACT is surprisingly worse for me… Well not that worse but it’s about the same as the SAT.

I’m planning to take the SAT again.

But the thing is I’m Asian… So does that have any affect on my admission?

I think with a 1700 or 1800 would be nice but I feel like that’s too high of an improvement for only 3 months

Isn’t there that one UC that accepts everyone?

It’s entirely possible to get a 1700 or 1800 if you study enough.

But the thing is, I did study and I am studying but I still miss the same amount of questions!!! So frustrating!!!

What is your UC GPA? (if it does not appear on your transcript ask your counselor). Here’s the link for average stats of all the incoming California freshmen at the various UC campuses.
