I'm a college freshman trying to figure out what I should do. I'm expecting to come out with a 3.5 after two semesters of college classes 26 credits

Very poor high school scores with only a 2.45gpa and 19 act should I wait another year? And bump that GPA up to a 3.7? Is it worth even trying to transfer? I'm at Wayne state university in Detroit Michigan right now. I work now 16 hours a week so I'm not involved in any EC's at Wayne but I plan on taking EC's next semester of college.

But In high school I took 100+ volunteer hours and was involved in 3clubs (if that even matters anymore)

I'm on premed course for my college career and U of M seems like such a better school than Wayne state university. But I know my high school career sucked bawls so..
