What's my transfer chance from GMU to UVA?

Hey!
I am currently a sophomore at George Mason University, and I would really really like to transfer to UVA's School of Business (Commerce) as a junior.
I think UVA might be out of reach for me because it's very competitive and I'm not sure how my stats stack up, but I love for suggestions!

Resume:
High School Stats: (don't think will play a major role for a junior transfer)
GPA: 3.67
SAT: 1980/2400 (660M, 620CR, 680 WR, 9/12 on essay)
SATII: 680 Math I, 680 History.
Extracurriculars: Varsity Tennis,.
Awards/Honors: Honor Roll, some AP awards & Academic Awards.
Applied to UVA and got rejected.

College stat(NVCC):
Took 11 credits during summer after HS and transferred them to GMU. Got a 4.0 GPA in calc 2, english, and basic IT class

College Stats(GMU):
Major: Accounting
University GPA: 3.55 (most likely after this Fall)
Extracurriculars: Teach public speaking at Toastmasters, VP of Tennis Club, advertising officer of investment club, entrepreneurs club member.
Work Experience: Worked at Primerica, Apple Federal Credit Union, Tennis coach at Great Falls Swim & Racquet's Club.
Note:
I failed a class (linear algebra) in Fall 09.
In Spring 10, I took 6 credits due to family issues.
Will this affect my chances greatly?
(I have all A's and A-'s except one F and B)

My essay is average, nothing spectacular to be honest. Still working on it!

I am also applying to U. Michigan, cornell, JMU, vtech, USC.

I really do not know a lot about transferring other than the average GPA is 3.67 ([GPA Profile of Fall Class of New Transfers](GPA Profile of Fall Class of New Transfers)). Your stats do look promising, though.

And you added your SAT scores incorrectly–you would have a 1960.

Thank you very much for the reply. Ah yes, I had a 1960.

I’m hoping for the best!! :D

The admit rate to transfer directly to McIntire is significantly lower than the overall University transfer acceptance rate (17% vs. 39%) for 2010. (And somewhat lower in the years preceding)

[UVa - Transfer Admission](http://www.web.virginia.edu/IAAS/data_catalog/institutional/data_digest/adm_transfer.htm#scc)

You’re correct that your HS record will matter less. I see that you had some issues in 2009-2010…have you explained this time period in an essay/application addendum? Is it compelling? Do you have ALL (or nearly all) the McIntire pre-reqs completed?

@wahoogrl08 Do you think it would be better for me to get into UVA’s CAS (heard it was easier to get in) and then apply to McIntire the next year? I would be a year behind, but I’m fine with that.

Can I apply to CAS then switch to McIntire the next year because I doubt I’ll get in with my GPA and not having all the pre-req?

I honestly don’t know, I do know that UVA sets a limit on the number of semesters you are allotted to complete your degree. I’d call and ask, but I’d venture to say they don’t really allow for that to happen.
