What's something I can focus on and be passionate about?

My dream university is Yale, but I read that they really want people who find one or two things and focus on them. At the moment I am a sophomore. I have a 4.0 and as many Honors and AP classes as are possible. I am in five clubs and two sports. I'M ALL OVER THE PLACE.

What can I FOCUS on that will set me apart? I play no instruments. I kind of love volunteer work though! I have 71.5 hours and am in Key Club. How can I go further in this, or should I do something else?

This is a good question, but no one can answer it but yourself. You have to try new thigs until you find something that you really like. Good luck!

Of your current ECs which one do you enjoy most? Perhaps you are in an art related club and love it, try expanding by taking some art classes and volunteering to help at a summer art camp for little kids. No matter what you enjoy you can always expand in some way. If there is nothing you truly love try something you have always wanted to do.

I think the first thing you need to look at is the that you are asking what can I do to make myself look better. You won’t set yourself apart by doing something you think will set you apart and semi-enjoy, instead look for something that you would gladly get yourself involved in and that will set you apart since you’ll be able to talk about it passionately.
