I know a friend that goes there, he says AP classes are extremely hard there. And that some kids even commit suicide because of it. Is this true?

For the record, I meant what’s special about my high school is that I go there, not that I go to the school you named.
The only thing Wikipedia says about my school is that it used to be a middle school. I don’t think they changed the curriculum when they converted it.

Oh, well then.

yea hailbo people commit suicide a lot

we r still a good academic school tho, ppl just do too much

If you read the Wiki page… You’ll read about the great things that… In the 2nd person form: We WERE, We WERE, We HAD…

Dates listed: 2009 and 2010.

There is so much more that we had–maybe it was the C/O 2010 that I so highly looked up to since I was a freshman. Look at the class of 2013. We’ve broken records in the lack of participation in academic competitions. Nor is the class competitive against itself. (Sure, if you ask the top 10 they say they are, but not in my opinion compared to past years and even '14 and '15, we only have one male on it–compared to before–and he’s very close to the border of the top 10).

Pos: It’s really fun, offer’s some of the best programs in the area, sports (cough football) and really really good fine arts programs especially the music department
Cons: has some of the worst things mixed in with it, the emphasis on stupid things, and laziness

For my high school, we’re the most artistic of the schools in this area. Probably have the best program even though funding is down. That’s simply due to the quality of our art teachers though.

My magnet is environmental science. Our claim to fame is that we’re a very diverse governor’s school and we’ve shown just how a bunch of people who seem broken can be really smart.

My debate team had a 2nd place speaker at states…

But yeah nothing…

We do get free laptops though!

My school is 95% white… and I’m part of the minority (Asian), I don’t get teased or anything, I just feel kind of bored in a school full of white people. Need some diversity in my life.

It’s still a top 1% school though, so I guess that’s cool. Our swim team has been state champs 4 years in a row.

Swim team state champs for over 20 years in a row. About 1/3 of each class is in honors/AP courses. Very smart classes in general (21/330 students were NMSF last year) but not super competitive. Very good academic teams, golf team, rugby team, etc.

I live in a bad state though, so it’s kind of easy to do a lot of these things since most students come from pretty wealthy backgrounds.

Someone at my school is the United States Public Speaking champion (English Speakers Union competition). But I think they may have taken the title away from her because she isn’t able to go to the world finals.
But my school’s actually awesome because it’s small, everyone knows each other, independently accredited so no Regents (if you live in NY you know what I mean), it’s religious (which is a big thing by me), there are loads of people just as nerdy as me- and it’s cool to be nerdy, a which is such a far cry from my old school that you have no idea.

Hmm well my school is filled with overachievers whose average SAT (according to Naviance) is in the 2200s. We also consistently win quite a few academic competitions and have access an insane amount of resources (e.g. library books). And that’s all I’ll say before giving my school away :P

my school has a facebook meme page… operated by me of course :D

My school has the smartest if the smart. We send around 15-20 students to North Carolina School of Science and Math. I have a 4.5 Gpa and I am ranked 123/770. My school also have the dumbest of the dumbs. The people who can’t get into UNC pembroke

Nothing.

Wikipedia states that my school won 6 Grammy awards for it’s musical program.
