Describe your high school

Is it competitive? Is it wealthy?

My high school is overly-large, and not particular wealthy, or competitive.

I attend a school that would rather cut AP/Honors classes, educational electives, and clubs instead of the teen pregnancy class.

But I guess my school needs it! JK.

large (4,000+), poverty stricken, white is the minority, not very competitive i guess, but we have very, very intelligent people in the AP/honors classes that i’m involved with. my school also has lots of unique classes that aren’t offered at other schools. overall a good school even with its obvious and disrupting flaws.

Medium size (1000ish), middle class, middle in competitiveness.

EDIT: Mostly white, also.

Large size(2000+) Middle Class, VERY white, some blacks, few asians.

Most of the kids are pretentious and well to do. All the cool kids are in regular classes but I’m in Honors/AP so I don’t interact with them much <_< Maybe my C programming class will have some interesting people :D

this video pretty much sums it up.

NYC.

~3000 peeps.

Asians. Asians everywhere (72%)!

ha ha.

@JoJoBear
Where? Chinatown? I can’t imagine another possible place in NYC with that high of a percentage, unless it is some elite private school.

Competitive and Wealthy with around 200 people per grade.

This year:

Medium, 1000 students. Usually the top 25% of the class is extremely intelligent. Over 15 kids going to IVY+SM this year, which is pretty good for a public school in my opinion!

Oh, but we only have 3 black students and 7 Asians in the entire school.

Next year:

Boarding school, around 10-20% international, great academics, 1000 students.

An extremely small, one on one school. So it’s like tutoring, but accredited. Homework is done at school so I can have a life when I go home. No APs, unfortunately, but the way the system is designed makes dual enrollment with a local CC really easy.

Catholic school, supposedly the largest in the US. About 2800 kids or so. Not considered competitive but we do have a large group of extremely intelligent kids. Mix of wealthiness although there is more likely to be someone on the upper end of the spectrum than the lower.

Attending boarding school next year? Cool.

Very few people in my school go to Ivy Leagues. About 40% attend community college.

Canadian public school (not a typical one though)
2500 people
85% East Asian
10% white, 5% all other races
20% who takes all honors/AP’s, joins clubs for the sake of college applications, mark zombies who wants to go to Ivy league schools
10% skip school all the time, drinks, swears loudly, etc
70% are just average students wanting to go to local college, average marks etc.

We have lik no school spirit…almost all clubs are made for the sake of service hours or to look good on their college applications. I really hate my school, beside the fact that it has one of the largest AP programs in Canada, which is the reason why I’m here

Anything “special” about your school?

Any unique teachers?

How is your school prom?

~1500, kicked out hundreds of kids who had low grades and fought, etc.
not wealthy AT all.
bad administration, lol.
nothing too special, haha. has a bad rep, but really isn’t as bad as it sounds.
white is the minority.
1 is going to an ivy.
priority school, meaning low test scores. lol.

Medium (about 1000)
Public
Mostly white
Probably Upper middle class - upper class
Lots of ap classes and students
Really into school spirit and sports
Lots of drugs and parties

My school produces criminals.

But honestly, the school spirit at my school is really good, and people participate at school events.

But I also have the most eccentric teachers ever.

Lol nothing “special” i guess.
In general the teachers are lazy and minimalist although there are a few good ones here and there.
Nobody here really has a passion for anything. They only do stuff to impress colleges. I don’t relly like that.

LOL my school is POOR. I think it’s medium with about 1000.
