what's the best SAT II Math Level II prep book?

Is Barron's any good?

Try Sparknotes or Kaplan. I used both for practice and got 790 =)

Barron's is good because it's more challenging as it has topics that are not in the real test. Therefore you will be over prepared and can expect a high score!

I'd go with Barron's. It's slightly more difficult than the actual test, but it's better to be over-prepared when it comes to Math II ;)

Princeton with a start and Barrons for perfecting yourself. MAKE SURE YOU DO LOOK OVER BARRONS before the exam (and i think barrons have more indepth explanations which is necessary for high score.. though its true that it also contains unnecessary things such as rule of sign)

i've studied like that , did ALL the practice tests i can get (like,, 30 sets? i dunno) and i got 800 ,, good luck :D

If you really want an 800, and need practice tests, USE MEYLANI.

which one is the most relevent to the actual test and is the best one for preparation??

PR has questions similar to the test, but I would recommend Barron's, simply because it is more difficult and hence makes you work harder.

why do u need a prep book for math...

that test was so easy i had 20 min to spare after i spent 10 min deriving the double angle identity for sine on the last question. (sin2x=2sinxcosx)

I absolutely agree with dtl42

you could even save your money and not buy a book at all if you have strong pre-calculus skills (algebra, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, etc.) because the Math II test is really easy and the scaling is extremely generous

but if you're shaky, good books out there are PR, Kaplan, and Sparknotes practice tests are good too

Barrons worked for me as review ( I took it almost a year after finishing precalc) but the practice tests are a lot harder than the real thing, sparknotes tests were pretty accurate.

I feel sorry for oryZa, she spent 10 mins on a 2 seconds derivation:

=sin(2x)
=sin(x+x)
=sin(x)cos(x)+cos(x)sin(x)
=2sin(x)cos(x)

P.S. I don’t like showoffs…

I was wondering… is there a book only for math 2 sat2 for PR? casue right now i can only find PR for both math 1 and 2 (in the same book)… :</p>

There is also the offical CB math subject test practice book that has two practice tests for math I and math II.

Barron’s, always trust Barron’s.

Two practice tests each or two practice tests total?

^ two for each.
