Whats the best SAT Prep class for someone whose never taken it before?

I have never taken the SAT before, but I have taken the PSAT last year. If I recall, I scored around an 1850 or so on that, but that was without any preparation or really any effort given into it. Obviously I'm hoping to score much higher if I do some prep classes and work. My target is around 2200, but people say that it is unlikely that I will be able to raise by 400 points. I am fairly smart, all honors and around a 4.0-4.1 GPA, but I'm still worried.

I read a lot about the college board Blue Book study guide, so I will definitely get that, but I also wanted to take some sort of Prep class to teach me the basic strategies and some things I don't know about. I've never taken the actual SAT's, so I though it would be best if I took some sort of Prep class in addition to studying with the college board study guide. I plan to take it in October, and I wanted to know if you guys have any suggestions at SAT classes for me. I live in Pennsylvania, near Philly if you guys know any good local ones.

I already know that Sylvan sucks apparently, and that Kaplan is mediocre (i think??), I was leaning towards Princeton Review, that seems to be the best, but are there others I am not aware about?

Any questions just ask away. Thanks.

Study on your own or hire a private tutor. Most classes teach to the middle 50 percentile, i.e. 400-600.

What are your section scores? I can provide you better advice.

If you live in North Texas, go to Karen Dillards. If not do Princeston review.
