does anyone on this board NOT take a prep class/have a tutor of some kind?

Lots of people study/practice on their own here, in fact the people with tutors or prep classes seem to be the minority.

I don't have a tutor or take a prep class or even study for the SAT...I didn't do GREAT on it....but I didn't do horrible either. I'm going to retake in October or Novemeber and hopefully I'll do better, but either way my score is good enough to get into plenty of good colleges.

My D did not take a prep course or study and got 2200. I didn't realize how many people prepped. I thought it was like in the "olden days" when you just took it.

it depends on the courses you take in school i guess. if your in like ap classes and honors, or if your common sense smart, then you could probably do well w/o prep.

Yeah, I think most people do self-prep.

I don't take a prep class or have a tutor; but my scores suck and I'm thinking of getting both. (which I will once school starts)

I didn't prep or study and I got a 2050 (750W/720CR/580M).

I'm glad I took this approach because now I realize my weakness (math, obviously..) and I can just focus on trying to prep for that. I'm going to retake the SAT in October and hope for 100 points better on that section.

How come everyone says: I didn't prep. I got 2000+ ?

well I didn't prep my first time and I got 1660.

stuck on 1700-- me too actually a 1670 but it was a practice one in a pro setting

^ it's good to know I'm not the only one

I didn't prep either. Just did a few practice tests. I haven't bought a book or read any in depth tips. I got a 1670.

I didn't prep, have a tutor, take practice tests, or study. I figured I knew what I knew, and that's what I wanted colleges to know that I know.
