What's the best way to get immediate parking?

Hello all,

I need parking fairly immediately (within the next week), and into spring quarter. Any ideas...?

Thanks!

parking on the hill is extremely difficult to get.

however, there are many people in apartments who have a space but don’t use it (came with the rent). I’m sure you can check around and find people (or look at those fliers stuck to poles). Two apartments that stick in my head are tiverton and glenrock, but there’s definitely a bunch more that come with parking. the standard fare is about $100 a month.

another option is to park on the street in the apartments. this can be stressful, as many have “2 hour only” during 8-6 pm, and the parking enforcement at ucla are extremely hungry for your money.

if you don’t mind walking/taking a bus (35 cents)/shuttle, I would recommend parking south of wilshire. some of these apartments come with 2 spots (2x chance someone has a vacant spot) and if you park on the street, I suspect the parking enforcement doesn’t check back there as much though I’m not sure.

tl dr : for convenience, find someone willing to give you a spot for $100 a month. if you don’t mind a distance, try south of wilshire for parking on the street.

hope that helped!

–Note, I work for Transportation
Just a heads up – it isn’t too late to apply for spring quarter parking. You’d have to apply for an “appeal”. What this means for you is that if you’re eligible, then there’s a (very good) chance that we can park you. Click here for more information: [Student Parking Appeals (1003300)](http://ptplv.ais.ucla.edu/go/1003300/)

The deadline’s 2/16, so you’ve got some time.

Otherwise, you might heed the suggestion by another poster to park south of Wilshire and pay 35 c + BruinCard for taking a Big Blue Bus up to campus.

Excellent, thank you both so much for the info.

Turns out there are still a few spots left in Tiverton Parking, which I will try for the time-being, and will subsequently also apply for spring parking.

Many thanks!

Sirinya,

Where do we turn the appeal form in to (ie where is the transportation building)?

Thanks!
