What's the better undergrad school to go to for Electrical Engineering?

I'm asking in terms of future success and how employers would look at it.

Would it be a wiser choice to attend the University of Michigan College of Engineering or Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering?

michigan would provide a much greater diversity of options coming out. many top employers hire from michigan for many different roles, whereas olin still seems to focus on placing graduates in pure engineering roles. so my vote is for michigan :)

Olin is not as well known as Michigan, but if someone is familiar with both schools (like in or around where Olin is located) than I don’t know which they’d think is better (probably no big difference right?), but across the US there will be employers that are going to be familiar with Michigan but not Olin…and I guess that has to due with the size of Michigan’s program and how many grads they have out there and at other universities whereas I’m assuming Olin is one of those smaller private schools?

olin is a relatively new tiny private engineering school in the boston area. it does have a solid placement record:

http://www.olin.edu/pgp/docs/Class%20of%202009%20Profile-Current.pdf

but i would think michigan would be able to place into any of those jobs as well, and then some.

Olin? 10char

check this out:

[Olin College | Class Statistics](http://www.olin.edu/student_life/students/2013_statistics.aspx)

the incoming class statistics are pretty legit
