What attracts everyone to McGill??? Honestly, I don't think McGill has any strong departments. Overall, it's a good university. However, I don't understand why/how it has gained such an amazing reputation. What are your views?? Someone enlighten me, lol

Well for starters academically its ranked 21 in the World. Second it's in a great metropolotin area. The university aditionally attracts great professors and has a terrific alumi pool.

one of my aunts used to do research there and she told me that mcgill is really recognized in the field of science, especially medicine. i'm not sure how the whole thing started, maybe u can look it up, but there was this doctor who graduated from mcgill or something and was one of canada's pioneers, going across canada to heal patients and teach other doctors. anyway, i mean what's the deal with prestigous schools in the US? i think schools have good reputations based on what their graduates have accomplished. so maybe to outsiders, if the majority of a school's graduates can accomplish great things, that means the school must be doing something right.

i mean ur not the one sitting in harvard or yale or princeton's classrooms so you don't actually know what's going on. the prof could be teaching the class how to smoke pot for all we know. but if u meet say the CEO of a large corporation, and u find out he's a graduate of Yale. Of course, u would think that Yale must have done something right to turn this man into a CEO. and i guess mcgill just have a lotta famous and well-off graduates
