<p>In a double major you complete the requirements for two majors. In a major-minor, you complete the requirements for one major and one minor. A minor is a “lesser concentration,” often around 15 credit hours (though it can be a lot more for science and math), and a major is between 27 and 60 (engineering) credit hours.</p>
<p>Something else that is common today is a dual major. A double major has more overlapping requirements than the dual major.</p>
