<p>Because the CSS profile is used by the schools to disburse their own institutional aid, each school will come up with their own EFC according to the guidelines at their school.</p>

<p>you should realistically fill out how much you will be able to contirbute. However, this will not mean that it will be your EFC as it is the college that determines how much they feel you can afford to pay after evaluating the information in both your Fafsa and css profile</p>
