The questions just ask to "list the titles of.....that you enjoyed most in the past year," so do I not need to include the authors? Sorry if this is an obvious question, but it just feels a little strange to only list titles.

I think you’re overthinking it - just do whatever you want (so long as you include the titles).

Include the author if it’s necessary to clarify which book you read.

For example, if you put “Great Expectations” I will assume you read Dickens. No need to clarify, that’s the obvious inference.

If instead you read the book of the same name by postmodern feminist author Kathy Acker, it would be wise to list “Great Expectations - Kathy Acker”.

If you read “Collected Poems”, it would certainly be nice to know which poet(s) you read.

In general, the admissions reader is not going to know every single book/show/film you list, but that isn’t the point of the question. The question is simply a chance for you to demonstrate a love of reading/media/etc and show what genres and topics interest you. As @LAMuniv says, don’t overthink it. Just show who you are.

@DreamSchlDropout thanks for elaborating and putting it a lot more eloquently than I - I agree.
