What's the most lucrative major that is not related to Engineering, the Medical Field

OR...business?

does such a major exist?

just very curious.

Society is dependent on those who can infuse it with new innovations. You are asking the wrong question if you want a lucrative lifestyle. Though phrasing it that way tells us a lot about how you perceive the world to work…

A lot of the most “lucrative” majors ar Bachelor of Science and I also wanted to go the Bachelor of Arts path. So what I am going to try to do is have a combination of majors and minors that will open me up to a variety of options, so if I can’t get a job one way I have backups (and all real jobs I’d want to do). I’m sure there are a variety of ways to do this. Any dual major can give you a dual career path, and one can be useful to the other. I also think it is very useful on ANY resume to have had 4 college years of a foreign language.

I want to take some combination of International Studies: International Business focus, Art History, possible teaching English as a Second Language Minor. Meanwhile, lots of language classes and at least one if them be four consecutive years. And since I’ve read Mandarin stands to be the most lucrative, my top one will probably be that. Don’t need the title of “minor” in the language if I can show aptitude, and colleges limit the number of minors you can take.

That sets me up:
1: To be an expat working abroad (my ultimate goal)
2. I would be a State Department candidate
3. Foreign business or American business operating abroad candidate
4 work in museums or cultural institutions candidate, of which there are more abroad
5. If all else fails, I can teach English abroad, at least until one of the aforementioned opportunities opens up.

I recommend coming up with goals and backup goals and think of the best combination of majors that would set you up for both.

‘lucrative’ is a pretty loose term, brah…

Triple major in Anthropology, Theater and Queer Studies.
