Hey wutsup guys, like many of you I recently got into Penn but I havn’t had a chance to check it out as I live on the west coast and am not the wealthiest of individuals. I’m curious to know what the campus is like as I suspect its a lot different from the west coast colleges I’ve checked out. O yea and aside from the campus itself what’s the atmosphere there like. I appreciate any and all responses.
w00t class of '11

u applied ED without visiting????????

are u freaking kidding me!????
i mean, not that you won't love it (everyone does) but come on now, isnt that a little irresponsible of you?

ok, lets see.... Penn is a big 'ol campus unto itself, when ur in the middle of it, youre RLY in the middle of an old, east coast, ivy league brick-mortar-stone-carved group of buildings and courtyards with grass, tulips and oak trees. but if ur in the mood for philly-ness, u can just kinda fall into the city across the street. its PERFECT!! < does that help? lol

I didn't visit either and I got in ED. I don't have any money to visit, but I fell in love with the major/programs there.

yeah, no tengo dinero either but i kinda sorta pulled a travel voucher thing from penn? it worked out.

i understand, did u guys take virtual tours at least? do you wanna see personal pics of the place? (i have a lot, ill post a link - or just pm me)

congrats, btw. ur gonna love the place

yea post a link if you wouldn't mind

I got in ED and did not visit either. I did not even have enough money to get a decent internet connection to look at the virtual tour. If it makes you feel any better though, I read every single page of the CC Penn archives so I was able to mention random Penn landmarks in my interview. Pictures would be nice paro.

I didn't visit either. I looked at the pics and fell in love with it. I love anything old and especially architecture.

i sent pms to ppl who asked, let me kno if u want the link

It's really nice. Stucco and clay tiles are nowhere to be found*, which makes me happy.

*this is actually not entirely true. There is a building on the periphery of Penn's campus called The Rotunda that looks like Stanford took a dump on walnut st.
