When I first heard that one of my friends got in, I was really impressed even though I didn’t know the reputation of the school at all. Hrmmm. So I think the word ‘Harvard’ makes people at least subliminally think it’s really good.

but it’s actually a good school, I live like 20 mins away from it, and it’s one of my school’s rivals

lol best high school ? who the **** cares.

I threw a paper airplane and I ruined a display in my Spanish teacher’s room. I came back and used staples like it should have been done in the first place.

Nothing too bad… just not gone to school or checked in late, and wrote a note that said I was sick.

I punched a guy in grade 1 because our team was losing and he couldn’t answer the questions. Those questions were really easy.
I hated/was afraid of a teacher in grade 5 because I had a graphic nightmare and he was in it. He transformed into a sponge. I was very rude for the entire year because I always portrayed him as a soft sponge monster. I will apologize after high school graduation.
I got a 45 in my first physics test of my life in grade 8 because I went to US for a month without bringing my textbooks. Fortunately my final mark was still satisfying.
On 06/06/06 I received a big 66 for my math test. It was a memorable day. 6 is supposed to be a lucky number. Luckily it was only a unit test.
That’s about it.

^ 6 is the divil’s number!!! :O

It used to be two different high schools. Harvard was the all-boys part. The founder of Princeton Review went there. He was one of 5 people (out of 100+) that weren’t National Merit Semi Finalists.

It’s legitimately the best school in the state. Its tuition is 3x that of the UC system.

Oh, goodness, too much. In my Spanish class, on test day, my friend and I ordered pizza and had it delivered to class. We had watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High the night before, haha. Anyway, our teacher didn’t even get angry, it was the day before spring break and she just didn’t care.

^^ Cost of school being directly proportional to how good the school is? Sounds like a very British concept to me!

Maybe not, but when the PR founder gave a career day talk at my high school, he did say that education was the only industry in which price had a positive impact on demand. Apparently he had started out by teaching kids at Crenshaw, but when BH parents found out about how effective he was, he couldn’t hold out. Then they told him that with the great work he was doing, he should charge more. So he did.

He was a nice speaker, and it’s always good to listen to a fellow Bruin ;)

I’m not as crazy as some of you but in elementary school I had some…incidents

I got caught forging signatures 3 times in 3rd-5th grade.

The first time was in3rd grade where there was this language assignment I got -10 on. We got extra credit if it got signed. I thought it was mandatory for it to be signed so I forged it.

In 4th grade I once forged a Math worksheet(I love algebra but I really don’t like 3-D geometry) I got a D+ on(Any assignment, even non test, must be signed if it’s below 80%).

Finally, in 4th grade, during Reading, I thought we had a free day, so I was reading. Apparently, we actually had to be doing our acrostic whale puzzles. I was only 6/10 complete and right when I realized I needed to work and came back to my chair, someone ratted on me and then I got in HUGE trouble. There was a note home I forged(even though it was a conference note -_-) and it said stuff like “Barely does work on time” most of which wasn’t true. In fact, the worst grades I got that quarter were like B+'s. I ended up getting grounded for MONTHS and was on like academic probation til Christmas.

God that 4th grade teacher can die and I wouldn’t care. There were also like 100000000000000 long term projects we had to complete.

I really hope that incident doesn’t affect college decisions.

In middle school, the worst I’ve done was:
-I once bought a soda from a machine before school started(we were only allowed to after school). The 20 ounce Mountain Dew was worth the guilt. Now with the anti obesity laws, soda is banned in the middle school. =( Stupid republicans.

-Once I got a lunch detention/parent phone call home for saying “I feel sorry XXXX(name withheld)” didn’t make the SciOly team" Apparently I offended another girl, and then the ridiculous dean of students took it way out of proportion and even though you’re not supposed to call home for lunch detentions, she did anyway.

-I once turned in a schedule late…no big deal.

-I do my homework before it’s due.

Are you guys serious about all the “bad” stuff you’ve done?

Where are the stories of cheating and the stories of collaborating with teachers to pull stuff against the administration?

Let’s see… UIL. I was able to set up a meeting with My Teacher, The UIL District Director, and ME, and my Teacher and I convinced the director, for some reason or another, we were supposed to be able to enter 4 People from our school into a speech event. The UIL Rulebook clearly states only 3 from a school. We took 1st-4th place.

What Else? School Trips. I went on so many school trips with organizations and teams that I wasn’t a part of. Student Council, FFA, Sports, UIL. I just usually asked the students, “Hey, got extra space on that Fiesta Texas trip”, and then talked to their sponsor. It was a small school so everyone knew everyone lol. They probably spent over 1000 in hotel fees for me on stuff I wasn’t supposed to go on.

Its not what you know… its who you know. Again, I got to announce the Texas Babe Ruth World Series Championship Game thanks to knowing a teacher. I hadn’t seen or played a Baseball game for 6-7 years before then, So I knew almost nothing about it.

Cheating… Man, there are so many stories I could tell you, but I doubt you would even believe some of the stuff we could pull off. But here is one. We had a teacher. We were only in that teacher’s class for PAP credit to boost our GPAs. He routinely taught College Level English material, and used college level tests. No one in the class had any idea. Most tests, the Average scores were in the low 60s, but he curved the grades, so it was OK. However, on one test, he said there would be no curve, as he was giving us a study guide. The study guide was the same as the multiple choice test. Just learn the answer to all 200 questions. Now, that would take work. Its much easier to use connections to get access to the Scantron cabinet in the library, get a couple scantrons and fill them out before the test. My Friend and I scored our highest grades of the year on that test.

^Finally. I would post mine but there are too many and I would be hated on CC forever lol they are worse than the above poster’s >_>

Dude, If I put everything I really did, and schools have a way to pull diplomas back from you once they issue them, they could have mine, plus probably put me in jail.

Another one: A computer themed story. I got into the desktop monitoring program that the school uses to watch the desktops of all the labs from one computer. The Yearbook teacher caught me using it, and didn’t get mad. It just so happens that they were uploading yearbook pages at that time during the day and the internet was going really slow… so she wanted me to kick everyone off that tried to access the internet over and over again. She said as long as I made the pages upload faster, she didn’t care what I did.

And Edit: Hated of CC forever sounds suspiciously like you would have done something to earn higher grades than you were supposed to, thus bumping these people out of the college of their choice… You wouldn’t happen to have leaked keys in your possession, now would you :)

Um, I’ve skipped class a couple of times and called a couple of teachers out on their stupidity in class, which got me written up.

I’ve done other stuff, but I’d rather not mention them online (too many people think I’m a good kid)

^Skip class? I can never see how that’s possible. But then again, we have paranoid teachers and 9-13 people/class, so.

If someone tops that, I’ll be concerned.

^^ eh, in my school it’s pretty easy. Kids skip all the time (just not normally the good ones).

I can’t believe you guys would just post these crimes for all to see!
