What's up with UCMERCED?

Did anyone apply there? IS anyone GOING there? If so, what are your stats? I’m just curious. I don’t see any posts here about merced.

<p>Its a new university, so i'm not too sure about it. I know it's not hard to get in to so if you want to stay in California but don't have that great of stats, i think it would be a fun place to go.</p>

<p>For the most part, it seems that UC Merced is looked down upon by most UC applicants for various reasons. It's important to remain positive about these colleges, especially UC Merced, since going to college is a privilege for any individual nowadays. One positive aspect of going to UC Merced is that you'll be the first one to start new clubs on campus and ultimately held build up UCM's reputation.</p>
