Is it just me (probably), but that class and the AP test are far too easy for anyone to be freaking out over. CALM DOWN! It will be easier than you think (well, I always thought APUS was easy, but I digress).

I agree. I didn't freak out that much last year, I just calmly studied and I pulled a 5. This year I am much more frantic about AP Bio and SAT Math IIC, but I digress as well :p

I think the big freakout is because for a lot of people, it's the first AP Test they are ever taking. I know for me it is. At my school, there are a lot of juniors who are only taking, say, AP Bio or Chem and AP US. So, being that we've never taken any of these tests before...it's pretty intimidating.

I'm trying to remain relatively calm...but I'm definitely still rather worried.

It will be my second test. I just took the AP English Language on Monday and that was easier than expected, so the APUSH should be easy to. I have like a 96% in that class and it's a difficult class, so I should do well on the test. The MC should be a piece of cake. The essays are a little trickier, but manageable.

The problem with APUSH, and all such type tests, is that it never feels as if you are "done" studying. WIth English Lang/Lit, there's really only a small portion of studying to be done. With tests like Statistics and Calculus, you can look over all the FR, etc, but the subject material on the test is essentially limited, you can know how to do all of it, and know that you know it all. With something like APUSH, you're always going to encounter questions in practice tests, etc, that you just have no idea, since it covers such a broad range. What people don't get is that yeah, there are going to be questions that you don't know and you'll never be fully prepared for the test, and if you do understand that, it can be a little disconcerning to know.

True. YOu can't fully study for it but if you know the major trends and major facts you should be OK. This is the test I am least worried about. If you had a good teacher and paid attention and did all your homework it should be a stroll in the park.

This is true, to an extent. Paying attention in class/doing homework, etc can give you the broader themes and facts. The more minor facts which you'll have to know for MC and to really supplement your essays (always a good idea) are things you have to learn on your own. That being said, oodles of studying really isn't that necessary for APUSH. When I took it last year, we had a great teacher, I paid attention etc etc, then went out and bought a cheap no name review book two nights before the test and read half of the review section that night and the other half the night before. I got a 5 without any trouble whatsoever.

Yeah, don't worry about it you guys. :) I'll even go as far as to say that the APUSH test was one of the easiest tests I've ever taken. It was much easier than our class tests, which were composed of past AP questions. Because so many more people are taking the AP tests now, especially because some districts are paying for/making students take them because of that ridiculous Newsweek rating, many of the tests are becoming easier and easier.

@Emmery...Yay thats what my Art history teacher told us, that a lot of districts are payign for AP tests, so a lot of people who know nothing just wing the test, thus really skewing the curve...Hey whatever I wouldn't mind a free test, but a nice a score is so much better

i think it really depends on if you r science person, critical thinking person or just a genius

Don't worry. If you're prepared for it, it will be easy. It was my easiest AP by far. (I took it last year).

I'll go along with the people who say it's easy. I took it last year too. And seriously, I so should not have freaked out that much about it. Good luck to you all! You'll do amazingly, really! :D

Let's hope it's as easy as everyone says it is! :D
