What's worse

Okay, so I've posted a thread on rescinding offers of admission. I'm worried about my friend who started out with 5 A's and a B when she was admitted to Harvard. There's 4 days til graduation and I think she might get 3 A's, 2 B's, and a C or a D. Ppl say she won't get revoked but I think the C/D is pushing it. I'm wondering if it's better for her to just drop the class (it's the class she got a B- in first semester) or get the C/D. But then I also realize that there's still 4 days til graduation and she still might be able to raise it.

What do you guys think? Rescinded for the C/D? Drop the class (doe that look worse)? Stick it out w/ the C/D possibly B/C?

You, I mean, "your friend," will probably be fine. Try to pull that C up to a B though. C's are yucky. As long as you don't have anything below B's, you're fine, and you're probably still fine with the C. Just relax!

Haha. Are you kidding me? Getting into harvard was a HUGE reach for me. I wouldn't have been stupid enough to have gotten myself in this position. But thanks for the advice.

Hey, would dropping a class be worst of all?

Last year I wanted to drop a class (that I had an A- in, even) and I called my admissions rep to ask if I could and she gave me a very noncommital wishy-washy answer strongly discouraging me from doing so, as if to imply that I could end up taking heat for doing so.

My experience is just anecdotal, but I'd be careful about that.

Dropping a class 4 days before graduation (now 3, I suppose) sounds like a really bad idea. If Harvard accepted your friend with a B-, I don't think they'll be ridiculously harsh on a C. The D is probably still better than dropping the class.
