What's wrong with this sentence

A volunteer organization, the Covington Soup Kitchen has been feeding needy families since 1977, annually distributing nearly a million pounds of food each year. No Error

Believe it or not, THERE is an error. Do you know what the error is?? Well, it's D and I have no damn clue why. Sentence sounded flawless to me. Can someone explain to me why D is the answer?

It’s redundant. “Annually” already implies that it happens each year.

Since the sentence already says “annually”, “each year” is redundant and therefore unneeded.

112358: darn, you beat me to it :p

^ I agree.
