As in, of all that you're right now, which is easiest? I don't mean if you happen to be a math genius and AP Calc comes really easily for you...I mean the actually structure of the class. I'm just curious to see how all your schools handle them. It's interesting that we all take the same test, but each teacher's approach can be vastly different.

In school, AP English (Language and/or Lit, it really doesn't matter) is almost disgustingly easy. We don't have to participate in class, meaning we don't really have to read the books or poems, meaning we never have homework. On the off chance the teacher gives us an essay (probably about one every two weeks), it's always about exactly what he talked about the previous class, and he tends to grade very easily. We can rewrite any essay we get for a regrade, and even if people average really low scores, they somehow come out at the semester with A-s.

I'm not saying this is a good thing, because it isn't the best college-prep course (although my class did quite well on the Lang exam last year), but it's certainly nice to get a break from the constant workload of other APs.

Sophomore year: AP Comp Sci A. Everyone fooled around so he had to extend the deadlines for all our programs. So if you finished when you were supposed to you got 1-2 weeks of chill/homework time.

AP Bio. My first and only AP (I'm a soph). I had a 96% first quarter (better than all my other grades in regular classes!). The only hard thing has been the summer packet (which seriously took eons). The funny thing is, they discouraged anyone but "the most dedicated" sophs from taking this class, and we 10th graders are kicking the juniors and seniors butts. I guess it's because we don't have the other hard classes they have (our only AP choices are AP Bio and AP Gov), but seriously, this class is the easiest ever!!!

AP English, both junior and senior year. I'm a pretty good writer, and the class is subjective so I don't need to memorize all sorts of facts, equations and conjugations. I read the books and I like to analyze them, and I have to talk a lot in class or else I get bored, so even if I don't take notes or answer the comprehension questions, I still get full credit for reading.

I'd say the most difficult is AP Spanish, simply because in previous years we almost never did on-the-spot speaking tasks, and we just skimmed over things that take a bit of practice to get used to (ex: For the subjunctive, tengo --> tenga. Got it? Good. Moving on.)

APES was the easiest class ever though. I'm amazed when I see how few people get 5s. That said, my school was number 1 in teh world for APES scores based on our school size based on the scores in 2005.

AP English. It's a really engaging class and the teacher is so fantastic, I've learned a whole lot, but I'm getting a 99% in it. The class is so much more about participation and discussion than about homework and tests.

AP Euro is really laid back in class. The other day my friend and I just played dreidel with lollypops instead of doing our chapter outlines. Sometimes we just pop in videos into the VCR and watch movies. Our teacher does not teach AT ALL. Ever. We literally just sit in class and outline or take tests. But in that respect its really difficult, because it's completely independent study. We have a test every three days. Grrr.

Bio - we do absolutely nothing, aside from labs that involve breaking toothpicks and poorly organized lectures. My pre-AP bio class freshman year was seriously more in-depth and difficult than this, which is sad because I feel as if I'm wasting my time and everyone thinks that they're so well-prepared for the test when they're not.

Also, calc is extraordinarily easy, and not just because I'm good at it - the teacher doesn't take up homework at all, tests are straightforward, and when he asks for homework you can just show him papers from weeks ago that look math-ish and score a 100. We get a "work day" every few class periods and everything...pretty nice, and easy but not in the make-me-angry way :)
